"A Time For Rest" is a Clergy Respite Ministry extended to clergy and missionaries who need a time to relax, recuperate, reenergize, or refocus.

Our Purpose: God calls many men and women into ministry, whether as a clergyperson, lay-minister, or as a missionary. Many of those who are called into these professions give their heart and soul, work excessive and long hours, and have to make a lot of sacrifices, including financial ones. At times, life can be overburdened from this special calling and a time of rest and relaxation is required, even commanded by God. We would like to be able to help those in ministry who need this time in their lives to relax, recuperate, reenergize, or refocus. We also invite those who have retired from ministry to join us at "A Time For Rest".

Who can come?

Reservations are available only to clergy, their spouses, or missionaries (currently serving or retired). You must show proof that you are/were in ministry. (A letter from your church will suffice) This ministry is not open to the general public.

What is the length of stay?

Depending on availability, you may be limited to two stays per year. Each stay may last up to 3 nights. (Exceptions may be made in some cases)

What is the Cost?

The cost is "by donation." We ask that you prayerfully consider what your gift to us will be. We would gladly accept a donation from your church as well. When considering your donation, please keep in mind that this ministry is similar to a Bed-n-Breakfast.

Atmosphere

It is with joy that I welcome you into my home, and possibly a step into a different time period. I pray you will feel the presence of the Lord just walking through the front door.

Relaxation

It is my goal to offer you a relaxing place to come to. A place where you won't be interrupted by phone calls, busy schedules, and deadlines! ... a place where God can speak to you, renew your faith, and if applicable, spend quality time with your spouse.

Victorian Teas

On occasion I will be hosting Victorian Tea Parties for area churches' women's groups.  I can accomodate groups up to 12. There will be a small fee/donation asked.  If your church is interested in having a Tea-party, please contact me.

Location

We are in the planning stages of locating the ministry in Rosebud, Texas in the near future.  Rosebud is a quiet small town located between Waco and Austin
